For my evening at the Royal Albert Hall I decided to go quite understated but still fashionable and edgy. Last weekend I jumped into the Monochrome Hype that seems to be in all the latest magazines and on the pages of the Topshop Website.

Monochrome Manifesto
My favourite buy of them all was my black and white pinstriped shirt, I'm sure this will feature in my wardrobe for a very long time! At 12.99 from H&M http://www.hm.com/gb/ it was a bargain buy. Its also quite interesting material wise as the main middle on the front is the silky sort of material you find on most shirts, however the sleeves and the back middle are more polyester/cotton type material. Although not completely noticable to the eye, it gives the shirt a quirky feel! It also looks great with high waisted black jeans tucked in, with leggins (how I wore it) and with high waisted skirts. A good item to be worn over and over again. I chose to wear it done right up to the top on this occasion but it also looks good buttoned down, or even worn open as a sort of jacket.

My Baby in Black
I have to say my black bowler hat is my baby and I absolutely adore it, even though my boyfriend hates it and tells me I look like Mary Poppins I wear it anyway! My advice to people on the hat issue would be to just f**k everyone else and just wear it. The amount of people that tell me that it really suits me but they would look stupid in it is countless. I get it all the time, and I then just tell them to put it on and 99% of the time they style it out just as well as I do. So stop being pussys about it and go and buy yourself one . . . you might surprise yourself. The hat also gives a really different edge to your look. I feel it makes you look sophisticated, fashionable and vintage! I have 2 more hats one in khaki green and another in maroon, but I do find myself wearing my black on the most. I purchased all of mine at Topshop, and although at first I was taken back by the price of £20/£25 and didn't buy one due to that. Every time I went in there I would try one on and be just as in love so in the end I gave in and now I have 3! I couldn't be more happy that I spent the money and bought them though as they've enhanced my style so much. Definitley worth the money!

Bargain Jewellery
I have to say, I usually steer well clear of Urban Outfitters when shopping because I know when I go in there I will LOVE everything and not be able to afford ANYTHING. However last weekend I took the risk and had a sneeky peek. Thank god I did because I came out a very happy girl. After trying on some clothes that just weren't working with my physique I decided to opt for jewellery, and guess what I found. . . A SALE!! So instantly I was scouring the shelf through all their little quirky bits and bobs and I found my baby. A cross necklace watch pendant thingy which ACTUALLY TELLS THE TIME! That was the best bit. And also a cute little cross bracelet. Anyway although it was meant to come to £16 total I thought I'd treat myself. So I get to the counter and they tell me its only £8 for the two!! I WAS SOO HAPPY! That is a pet love, absolutely makes my day when that happens, and then when I get home I have to tell everyone in my flat my little story! So get your bums down to the Urban Outfitters Sale and see what goodies you can find!!

Leather Look
Although I know some stuff in primark can be a pain in the arse, because it can be shit, funny fitting or bad quality. There are times when I go in there and just want to buy loads because everything is good. I'm sure I'm not alone in this tendancy. Anyway buying these wet look leggins was one of these billo days! At a first look they werent very presentable and I thought they would either be really small or really short on me. Nevertheless I tried them on and they were actually perfect fit which made me feel nice and slim for once #win! They are also really comfy like normal cotton leggins. I do have a pair of high waisted wet look disco pants from Topshop which are similar but I'm forever pulling them up and them and my body don't always see eye to eye. So when I found these I was made up and they were only a TENNER in comparason to the £28 I spent on the annoying Topshop Disco Pants. So if you're in primark give these a lookout!
