So, I'd be lying if I said that this wasn't one of the best holidays of my life! Ive done Magaluf, and I've done Ayia Napa, and they're both great in different ways. But its true, Ibiza really is all about the music! The entire atmosphere of the place is amazing! I initially set off for 3 days with 6 of my girl friends, staying in the Tropical Hotel. However, what went from 3 nights, turned into 8 nights and as my girls flew back to England, I stayed on the party island with my friend Emily who was doing a season out there. Best decision I made! I had the best of both worlds, holidaying with my girls and partying hard, enjoying the tourist side of things. Then experiencing the workers life and the less touristy side, but still partying just as hard!
Serious pros were that my uncle was working out there at the time and hooked us up with VIP and guest list to all the clubs which meant I saved SO much money!!
So what did my time out there consist of?
Monday: Heading down to "the strip" as soon as we landed at 2am and partying till 6am CLOSE! Tuesday: Amnesia: Chase & Status @ Music on, with Example. Wednesday: Pukka Up Boat Party during the day & Pascha in the evening watching Steve Aoki and Lil Jon! This was by far one of my favourite nights! It was incredible, words don't even describe Steve Aoki pie-ing someone in the face and then the 2 of them popping champagne over the entire audience in the club. Thursday: Ocean Beach during the day to chill! Thursday was also when I said goodbye to my girlfriends after having the most amazing Tapas ever! I then headed out with my uncle and cousin to Amnesia to be VIP and get behind the DJ decs! An experience I WILL NEVER forget! We shared VIP with Will Smith on that same night and watched Calvin Harris play!! Friday: was a chilled day, and I gave myself the night off, going to a restaurant on the beach with my Uncle and Cousin and enjoying a good glass of Rose with my feet in the sand!
Saturday: Party day, obviously so I was back on my game and after heading down to Bora Bora beach and relaxing all day by the sea, we got our face paint out and went to Zoo Project, followed by PIKES! Now for those of you who haven't heard about Pikes, I'm about to tell you. Its a Villa a bit of a way from San Antonio, (also known as Ibiza Rocks House), where exclusive parties happen, however it is invitation only and only those in the know really go! My Uncle being the top dog he is took us and it was INCREDIBLE! Its a little bit like Alice in Wonderland mixed with the Shire from lord of the rings! Not only was Idris Elba DJing and staying there, but I also got to meet Maverick Sabre and have a casual chat with him (playing it cool while really being 100% starstruck!). There was also a man going round dressing everyone up, and he kindly took me into his costume cupboard which was just the most surreal thing ever, it was like falling down the white rabbit hole!
So anyway...still 3 days left to go! I know its crazy that I'm even still going this strong! Sunday: was the 25th Anniversary of Space nightclub, with DJ's such as Annie Mac, Fat Boy Slim and Eric Morillo its was a crazy night and an incredible experience to be a part of! Monday: We were in need of a bit of a break so we just headed to the West End (also known as the strip) and partied hard till 7am! Not to forget going to Ibiza's famous Cafe Mambo and seeing Duke Dumont! Tuesday: My very last full day and night! After chilling during the day, we headed back to Amnesia (my third visit in 8 days!) To see Sub Focus and Skream, being VIP again and just enjoying my last few hours on the beautiful island. After leaving at 5am, I was in a taxi on the way to the airport by 6am ready for my 9am flight home!
Safe to say that I partied quite literally as soon as I landed, until I left again! I loved my time so so much there, and its such a beautiful island in itself even without the party life being the best in the world!
