Sunday Funday

So having a little reflection over my week so far...the purchases I've made and the best buy of the week (of course!).

Starting out with a bank holiday monday, who doesn't love one of those! I visited my old town of Roehampton and some of my best friends for a beautiful BBQ in the sun...When its my friend Kaira's cooking, believe me, you don't want to miss out! After a wonderful afternoon of wine, food and laughs I headed back to my boyfriends to (again) eat some more and have a sweet evening in with pizza and a film 'That Awkward Moment' - which I have to recommend to you all, its a good easy watch and pretty funny too! And lets be honest...who doesn't enjoy watching Zac Efron!

Travelling back on Tuesday I then came back to the reality of Uni and caught up with some work, some emails and generally chilled out a little. Unfortunately I couldn't attend my gorgeous friend Immi's birthday because I was so ill :( but she had a great night all the same!

Then on Wednesday we finally had dance, after what seemed like a lifetime! I got to teach some choreography for some beautiful dancers which I always enjoy and always makes my day! Leading on from this I then got ready to go out for my friend and flat mate Emily's birthday :) She decided she wanted us all to go out as sailors and so we did as she wished, and also joined the dancers on our night out for an evening of dancing and laughs!

Thursday was a bit of a serious day with lectures and 2 committee meetings, however it was ended on a great note as committee had their meeting over dinner at 'Fat Cats' (great food and 50% off all year round for students!!). This then led on to some cocktails and cocktail making at Fat Cats...Its lucky that we were pretty much the only ones in there! (blog post to come).

Ill friday :( After forcing myself to lectures I spent most of friday tucked up in bed as all week I have been progressively dying of the flu! (still am) but friday hit hard! Luckily I was more perky for the evening and i was FINALLY reunited with my Bermudan Baby Girl Courtney! (I haven't seen her since before I went to Sydney...TOO LONG). So Courtney, Esme and I went for a cute little pub lunch at 'The Orange Tree' pub in Nottingham. I have to say I was pretty impressed! From the outsides I always thought it was a really grim old pub, but inside its so lovely and does really great food! We were lucky to even find a table! We then ended the night making cupcakes and watching films at Courtney's :)

Lovely lay in on Saturday morning to then prepare myself for an afternoon with my lovely girls Sam, Alice and Ellie. Drinking cocktails, eating Jerk Chicken and Shopping! Heading to Turtle Bay in the afternoon ready for the 2'4'1 cocktails we enjoyed a nice catch up celebrating Alice's belated birthday! Walking out a little bit tipsy (Ellie), some of us headed out for some shopping. As always I ended coming back with more than I intended to! Having a little obsession with the Co-Ords I got these 3! So excited to feature them in a 'What She Wore' post!

Sunday: Not so much a fun day, doing my weekly shopping, washing tidying. But I do have dance later which I hope will lighten the mood :) Looking forward to another lovely week, although I know this one has MUCH more work built into it :( However I bought some little goodies for myself as a treat at the end of the week...

This weeks buy of the week has to be my super cute scrunchie which I acquired on my Saturday spree. Sunflowers, £2, Primark! Bargain :)

Have a wonderful week everyone, making sure you're Sunday is full of Candles, John Legend and Relaxation (mine always are!)

Topshop Treats

As a little pick me up Topshop received a visit and strict instructions: A present to me, from me! :) I've been trying really hard to save recently, and if you know how bad I am with shopping you will know how hard it is for me not to go on sprees with clothes. But every once in a while a girl needs to treat herself! With Valentines drawing near and more deadlines to meet, with little fun, I decided that it was time! Time to give myself a little pampering by visiting my beloved TOPSHOP! (although it has been letting me down recently!) I may have fallen utterly in love with a shirt dress from their boutique range before I realised it was £70, but I managed to refrain from using the overdraft and let it go :( it was hard! Still, I came out with these beauties instead, dresses that I can use day and night! (need to be practical about my clothes buying now that I'm poor!) I have happily worn each of these as you will have already seen in my 'What she wore' posts!
Already having bought both the baby blue and black Matte Topshop nail polishes, when I went to pick up the baby pink one I then had a lightbulb moment . . . Why don't I just get a Matte finish and save myself the effort, and so I did. Save to say its working out nicely so far! Ill be sure to show you some of my creations soon!

The nautical theme is definitely back for the second summer in a row! These are 2 of my favourite sailor style prints both from my Topshop addiction. Who doesn't love a bit of contrast with pinstripes!

Polishing off the month

Hey guys :) sorry for the delay, as you can see I am mid-updating my site as I got bored of the other style!! Here is an upbeat read while I'm in the update process :)

I have to say, I may have a little unhealthy obsession with 'Colour Show' nail varnishes this month. However I really do hate having to pay extortionate prices for varnish - at just 2.99, and usually with a 3  for 2 deal on, these seem perfect. My absolute favourites are the pale pink and white, very cute and girlie, however sometimes I like to be a bit edgy with some black or colour popping blue! I got most of these babies from Tesco or Superdrug :) go get some now! Bargain
