Anyway, we went for dinner and I tried frogs legs for the first time...so now I've tried both French cuisines! And I'd have to say that I definitely prefer snails! Frogs legs tasted a little bit like chicken but looked less appealing
Went to the bar initially for wifi but really it turned into drinks...again shocker there! I was meant to be having an early night, but after all this is contiki! So I ended up staying out till around 1/2am! Played pool, and the girls ended up beating the boys! Unfortunately that was nothing to do with my awful pool skills and everything to do with my partner Lanas! She wiped the floor with them, and the boys were left scratching their balls (apologies dad). A couple of pool games and mingling later and it was time for bed! After all it was meant to be an early night!
Our second day kicked off with a trip into Nice to visit a perfumery... To be honest I was really interested in the percentage of perfume in different perfumes, however I did buy a beautifully smelling one at the end of the tour, so, swings and roundabouts!
Next we went to explore some of Nice, first stop had to be food! Rocking up some dodgey alley we finally found a place that did a Nicosia salad and decided to eat there! Thank god we did, I ended up having a stir fry and it was so damn good I could have died! I think the lot of us were just really happy to be having some veggies down us!
Feeling full as anything, it was nap time....aka beach time! €16 later and we were sunning ourselves up at the beach! As stunning as it was, no one ever warns you about the current in the sea! Getting out was a struggle to say the least. It was like wave, drown, sit on bum, scramble, then a repeat. In an attempt to keep nipple covered and sunglasses on! Took a few takes before we were successful! Oh I forgot to mention that the beach is stoney! So yeah, let's just say I didn't look like Michelle Kegan strolling out glamorously!
After having a mooch around some shops and finding the others to carry on sunbathing. We headed back to get ready for our big night!
Finally our dinner was fajitas which I was BUZZING about, because I'd literally been saying the day before how I wanted them! Being very careful not to get my dress ruined I demolished the dinner, unlike Emma who ended up eating the entire thing out of her hands, yet still managed not to get any on her dress, how she did it I do not know!
Everyone had really put an effort into their appearance tonight, even the boys had their best shirts and trousers on! It was cute to see everyone all dolled up and ready for Monte Carlo casino.
Then we were on our way to Monaco!! Holy shit how stunning is it! Granted, it should be as it's the richest country or whatever but still! I felt so fabulous being there! The views were amazing and it looked like a place I could only dream of coming back to, to stay! Our tour manager Emily managed to get a joke on us by saying that we needed to hold up our passports against the window so they could scan them as we entered the border...imagine a coach full of us doing so and discussing how cool it was that they scan them. Only for Emily to then proceed to tell us that we are all gullible as shit because she was having us on!
Walking into Monte Carlo Casino, again was like a dream! But someone once said to me, if you believe you're famous, then you're famous. So I felt that at this moment, that was very appropriate! Strolling in, I hit the ATM (like the top baller I am), getting out my euros and they come out in €100 bills!! I shit myself because I was scared that the money was like Monopoly money that could only be used in the casino!! Luckily this wasn't the case and I'd just never seen a €100 note before! All good!
After 2 bellinis and no gambling later, feeling like a James Bond girl in my green dress it was time to head back to the camp site and head to the bar! Safe to say the night was extremely messy! people letting their hair down more than usual ;), and the morning greeted me with my head down the toilet and the hangover from hell! Onto Venice we go...
