Dinner was a little bit of a let down, as I was dying for Tapas! Although we learnt that in Spain, a starter of pasta could actually pass as a main meal, and we basically rolled ourselves out! Next, we headed towards the harbour and found a fab shiesha bar to chill in! Being pretty tired after our 2 nights at the French chateau, we headed home early ish (1am) so catch some sleep!
The morning kicked off with a walking tour of the gothic area of Barcelona, and I think this may be my favourite place yet! Such beautiful Gaudi apartments and architecture around the city! Being given the heads up on famous food markets, we strolled through La Rambla's stalls and were astounded! I wish we had these in the UK! Everything was so fresh and so colourful! It was insane, felt as though I could almost inhale the food just from looking at it!
A smoothie and some fruits later it was off to the shops! Now I know I said I shouldn't do anymore but Barcelona whispered in my ear that it would be okay! So a couple of hours later and about 4 bags, we felt exhausted enough to take a break and go in search of the beach! (Insert generic beach pic...unfortunately tragic liv would of course have a wedgie and white ass in hers!)
Let's go to the beach beach! Okay now Barcelona is definitely my favourite now! The sea was so warm (and not just from pee) and clear! I felt like a true water baby paddling around! I could have stayed there all day! But being the true Brit that I am, I was also keen for a good tan! So made sure I left time for both!
Having endured an amazing day in Barca, it was time to head home and get dolled up for a night in Spanish style! First stop was a flamenco show and tapas! Jesus Spanish ladies have so much sass! Trent dance would be so proud and should take pointers off these women! They had their sass pants awwwnnn! Much of this was highly enhanced by refillable jugs of sangria and mountains of TAPAS! So yummy! All in all, we left feeling very satisfied!
As always, it was time to head out out! Having a little disco on our coach we all encouraged each other to head out to the famous nightlife of Barcelona! A couple of us headed to the harbour in search of clubs and bars, and came across a beaut beach bar where the Long Islands were free pour and the company was fab! Catching up with the rest of the group we walked over to the other side of the harbour and prepped ourselves for the night with free drinks from a place called Zich! Now the only way to describe this place is like saying a bar in magaluf, where you are the only people in there! Except the overage men in the corner looking for the drunkest girl to perv over and buy more drinks...you know the type I mean. Considering there are about 40 of us travelling together, it probably did look quite busy! Nevertheless this is not what we had expected from baracelonas famous nightlife, so a few of us went in search of more!
Introducing...PACHA! You know if there's a Pacha somewhere, it's not going to let you down! So we joined the 20 minute queue and hoped for the best! It did not let us down! Decent music and a great vibe! Despite the gropey Spanish midgets (not real ones, just young boys!) we had a great time and decided at 5am it was time to head back. All the free poured vodka had us feeling a tad queezy!
Getting the taxi to take us to maccies on the way back to our hostel as a de tour, those of us who actually made it home that night ;) sat out on the steps outside the hostel and reminisced about the events of the night just gone!
Heading in at 5:30am we hit the sack for a nice deep, 2 hour sleep before setting off to the French Rivera!
